Supply and installation of 4 Solar water pumping systems in Eastern Uganda
The scope of this project included the supply and installation of a solar-powered water pumping system from a valley dam to an overhead tank per site. It also included the installation of a water transmission system to cattle water troughs, erection of solar stand structures and installation of solar panels on the structures on each site.
The project also included the installation of an auxiliary solar lighting system in the pump house as well as connection from panels to the pump through a controller. These were part of the works under the Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project (RPLRP) which is implemented by the Government of Uganda under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries MAAIF. The major objective of RPLRP is to increase livestock production through increased access to water for livestock.
Sprinktech Limited was subcontracted to undertake these works by Umbreco Holdings
