A Transformative Partnership for Uganda’s Coffee Farmers
In a groundbreaking move to advance climate-smart coffee production and improve rural livelihoods, Sprinktech Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with the Acholi Coffee Growers Cooperative Society Limited (ACGCSL).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed on Friday, 10th October 2025, at the Cooperative’s offices in Gulu District. Ms. Lucy Lapoti represented Acholi Coffee Growers Cooperative Society, while Mr. Pidson Abaho, Operations Manager at Sprinktech Limited, signed on behalf of the company.
This collaboration marks a major milestone in scaling solar irrigation and water pumping technologies across the Acholi sub-region, empowering coffee farmers to boost productivity, mitigate drought risks, and strengthen resilience against climate change.

Led by Mr. Komakech Dickens Okot, the Acholi Coffee Growers Cooperative Society has long championed the empowerment of coffee farmers in Northern Uganda. With support from various partners, the cooperative has distributed fertilizers, seedlings, and training opportunities, creating a strong platform for sustainable coffee production
The new partnership with Sprinktech builds on this foundation—adding the critical component of year-round irrigation to ensure that coffee farmers are not held hostage by unpredictable rainfall patterns.
